Community registration
This websites' idea is to gather a community of common-sensed people who share their love for small-format moviemaking. Now I added a way for users to register with this website. Registered users will receive a non-regular newsletter on website updates and gain access to a non-public forum. The manual section will soon be fully available again but all downloadable files are restricted to community members, mainly to prevent leeching.

Covering expenses: Poll results
The public poll on how I should cover my expenses for hosting and maintenance of this website is over. Many thanks for your interest in this site and your vote! 23 votes have been submitted and a majority (41,7%) liked the idea of Donations via PayPal, followed by voters for Google Ads (37,5%). Only a minority would pay a fee for manual downloads (16,7%).
I think a combination of both Ads and Donations will work best. Manuals will remain free of charge.

Relaunch
As you may have noticed this site has undergone some rebuilds. Besides the URL change to www.super8aid.net (update your bookmarks!) it is now Typo3-powered and some of the advantages of a Content Management System will be introduced in the months ahead. I thought about adding a Forum for hardware and technical discussions, Polls and a Mailinglist for announcing changes and additions. The manuals will soon be available again.
Let me know if you have any suggestions, articles, manuals or comments. For spam reduction and for easier identification of mailings concerning this site I am using a new eMail adress: anvalin[at]super8aid.net. Please use this adress for your future mailings.
home : disclaimer
As this non-commercial site features scans of original manuals I'd like to drop a line about copyright here: I do respect the rights of the manufacturer of the devices and the publishers of the manuals. If you are the copyright owner of the manuals I am providing online for free and wish I cease and desist please contact me and I'll no longer offer your specific manual for download. But be aware that the online publishing of these manuals help the community of Super 8 fans worldwide to maintain the functionality of their cameras, projectors, splicers, viewers and other gear since many of the rare devices that are available nowadays are purchased on a more or less private market and often come without the leaflets originally provided with them. Read details here. Anyway, If you unlike or like the idea of having the documentation of your high-quality Super 8 gear offered for free, please notify me via eMail.
